A group for every kind of recovery- we write through the messy feelings of being human, and discuss our journeys. Peace groups emphasize personal healing, learning new ways to think and dream, recovering our lost selves, and connection to one another, nature, community and the divine. Open to anyone, not just writers and authors, this group focuses on healing through community and writing.
The group is facilitated by Sabrina who has 14 years of participation in 12-step recovery programs and serving as a sponsor. Writing has been the backbone of her own trauma recovery.
Group size: minimum 3, maximum 7.
Give your players a homespun game without the amateur awkwardness ( if you know, you know). Explore NPC design, integration of player characters made by your group, enhancing a pre-made game with custom touches, or full beginning to end custom production. Writing for games versus writing short stories and novels have overlapping skills but there are some important differences- not being aware of these in your writing can make for very frustrated players when you take your game to the table. This group includes a ninth session, we will play test one game (group will vote) at the end.
Group size: minimum 3, maximum 7.
This group focuses on the craft of novel writing, each week addressing a different aspect of the process. You might have a novel draft by the end of it, might not, but you'll have a clear sense of how the process comes together. This group is helpful for anyone in any phase of novel development- whether you have a seed of an idea or a second draft and aren't sure what to do next. First and foremost though, it is support, structured writing time, and a team of authors who are in your corner.
Group size: minimum 3, maximum 9
For authors who have a completed story, this group is your new team of beta readers, proofreaders, editors, and advisors. We will work together to turn your novel into a more polished product. It's up to you how far you go in terms of revision and rewrites, but this group gives you the tools to go from draft to manuscript.
Group size: minimum 3, maximum 9
This is a group for writers who have a completed manuscript ready for publication. We talk about query letters, approaches to agents and publishers, pros and cons of self publication, and the range of publication options from boutique small press to big four. Every session will include a guest author who has published within the big four or someone who has worked directly within those companies.
Group size: minimum 3, maximum 9
Many parents feel they can't write, get coaching, go to author groups, or socialize in general due to the presence of their children. In this group, we know upfront There Will Be Kids Here! So if you need to stay off camera, we get it. If you're interrupted mid-sentence for potty breaks- yeah, we get it. If you have to come and go from the meeting four times, yeah, we understand that too. We are all trying to be parents, authors and fulfilled humans and are in this to help each other with a little bit of structured writing time. Just show up, don't worry about a messy house, and do what you can.
Group size: minimum 2, maximum 9
For the writers who haven't touched a story in months of years...for the person who took a creative writing class once and loved it but never really had time to get into it....for a person who never felt their writing was good enough to justify putting time into it...this group is for you. Join other writers at many different phases of life and all exploring their relationship to writing and authorship.
Group size: minimum 3, maximum 9
My beta reader group is currently recruiting for experienced readers. Think "joining a book club I get paid to attend." Members will read 2-4 (novel or short story length) manuscripts a month and discuss it like a book club. We'll only read stories I've pre-approved for the group, I eliminate stories that are too rough and unedited. Participation pays readers $20 per manuscript.
All groups meet 8 times over 10 weeks, and cost $140 per participant (except the beta reader book club). I have a few scholarship spots available per group. Please use the button below ("I want to learn more") to express interest in joining a writing group.

I know there are typos and small mis=spellings all over the site. I appreciate it when people kindly let me know. Yes, I am an editor. and yes, i have dyslexia. IDK how that works out, it just does.
I'd love a chance to work with you and on your writing, but please, hire a different proofreader.
